Coarse Fishing is available to just fifty season permit holders between 16 June and 14 March on this private lake set in parkland landscaped by Capability Brown. Twenty four fishing stages are sited in tranquil and scenic locations around the Lake for fishermen to enjoy both the sport and the beautiful environment. A fisherman’s code of conduct is in place, ensuring not only the quality of the Lake and the fishing it provides, but also the surrounding area promoting a diversity of flora, fauna, and waterlife. The Lake itself is stocked with Pike, Bream, Roach, Tench, Golden Rudd and Perch. All fish below the sizes prescribed in relevant Water Authority Byelaws are returned to the water.
Fishing is only conducted within the hours of sunrise to sunset. The Lake is not to be netted and regrettably no guests are allowed to accompany permit holders.
The cost of a season permit for 2007 – 2008 is £182.13 or £91.06 for those under 16 years of age. It is a requirement that all permit holders under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult permit holder.
